Word is out it seems that Football Queensland may be on the verge of pulling off one of the most exciting developments in football since the A League. It seems that FQ have called meetings to announce the structure for the new Australian Premier League backed by FFA. The plan as we understand is to create a new League which will be the development model for the new B league that FFA have been talking about for some time. The QSL and JPL licences will be merged and both go up for expressions of interest from Clubs able to deliver on both. More importantly the Clubs selected become part of the Australian Premier League. All we can say at the Fire is bring it on the sooner the better. I think the Fire should have a pretty fair chance of gaining a licence considering our efforts to date. Good on you FFA , FQ Board and Foster for taking it on.
