SCFC is now seeking applications from Coaches wishing to be involved in the exciting new world of the Australian Premier League. Subject to the Fire being successful in its bid for the new APL Licence the Fire will have several part- time and full time coaching positions available. The Fire currently employs several coaches in the Club however due to promotions and change in roles some positions will become vacant. Several new positions will become available due to the increase in teams under the APL. The Fire welcomes applications for a range of male and female teams from juniors through to seniors. Even though the Fire has already identified several well qualified coaches to fill roles in the Club due to the expansion of Club activities into the APL the selection process has not been finalised. Opportunities will also arise due to the launching shortly of new domestic and international academies. Please see the details below.

Short Description:
An opportunity to be a part of the Sunshine Coast FC’s team of Australian Premier League (APL) coaches is now available. A coach and an assistant coach is required for each team –Boys U12, U13, U14, U15, U16, U18 and a First Team and Girls U13,14,15 and 18. Also community coaching, schools and academy coaching opportunities exist.

Essential Selection Criteria:
Holder of current Positive Notice Blue Card
Coach/assistant coach for U12-U16 must hold a Youth licence.
U18 coach must hold a C Licence, U18 assistant coach must hold a youth or senior licence.
First team coach must hold at least a B licence. First Team Assistant Coach must hold a C licence.
Please note that Football Queensland will be providing the opportunity to participate in coaching courses in January 2013 for prospective APL coaches to obtain the necessary qualifications prior to commencement of the coming season at a significantly subsidised fee.
Detailed Description:
Sunshine Coast FC was established in 2007 to participate in the Queensland State League with teams in both the Senior and U19 competitions. The club has also actively developed links with the A-league and international clubs to provide further career opportunities for its players and staff. Clinics and academies for children aged 3 to 16 years focusing on the development of technical and tactical skills have also been conducted together with international tours.
The introduction of the Australian Premier League (APL) in 2013 has provided the opportunity for the club to expand its team numbers and provide a more secure pathway for elite players.
