Favourites from Sunshine Coast FC’s Queensland State League years will return on Saturday 19 December to compete against Noosa Lions FC.
The match is to give recognition to Glen Mahoney for his commitment and tireless hard work in establishing Sunshine Coast FC as a prominent club that provides male and female players, junior and senior with a successful pathway to an elite level of football.
The event will showcase some of Fire’s favourites from the QSL years, as former players including Shaun Blackman, Antony Hall, Greig Henslee and Tyson Holmes look to pull on the Fire shirt to show their appreciation for Glen who supported the players in their most successful period.
Holmes said he’s looking forward to putting on the jersey again and reuniting with his old teammates.
“It’s an honour and a privilege to come back for this game out of respect for Glen,” he said.
“Playing for Fire is something that I’ve missed since going to Victoria and it’ll be great for everyone to come back and have another game together.”
