Sunshine Coast FC’s new British duo Connor Hancock and Glody Ntumba touched down in Australia this week to commence training in preparation for the PlayStation® 4 NPL Queensland 2016 season.
Hancock, 19, previously played for Stockport County FC in England’s National League North.
He said he has been settling in well since arriving last Friday and can’t wait to play against some of Queensland’s top footballers.
“Training has been great, it makes me really excited to start the season,” he said.
Hancock added that he has already made his way to a few of the Coast’s best beaches.
“Everyone’s been showing me around and the beaches over here are unbelievable,” he said.
Ntumba, 19, said he will be making the most of his time in Australia and is ready for the season ahead.
“I’m going to try to fit in as much as I can while I’m here because there’s so much to see and do on the Coast” he said.
The pair began training with Fire on Monday as Head Coach Paul Arnison looks to hit the ground running in the pre-season.
“We have a lot of new additions to the team this year so we’ve just been working on getting everyone to come together as a team,” he said.
“Connor and Glody are good additions to the group and they have the experience behind them to push the team up,” he added.
