Sunshine Coast Fire’s two Japanese players, Takanori Sato and Keito Tahara, left to travel back home on Tuesday.
Twenty-four-year-old Takanori (affectionately known as Taka) played as a defender while 19-year-old Keito played as a midfielder.
Both Taka and Keito travelled to Australia from Kanagawa, their home town, where Taka had previously played for Kanagawa University and Kanagawa Ken Kyouin SC; and Keito had played for FC Hayabusa and Okudera Sports Academy.
Both players were well liked amongst the First Team, and often helped out with coaching and demonstrations during the Holiday Camps.
All the staff and players at Sunshine Coast FC hope Taka and Keito enjoyed their stay in Australia and thank them for all their efforts throughout the season.
