Match Guide #20 | SCFC v MCU

From the Technical Director.

Welcome to our Visitors from Magpies Crusaders, with the obvious inclement weather we have all experienced, I am edging my bets we will be welcoming all teams to play over on the Sports Precinct. As people well know, we are a football club that hates calling training / games off.

Sunday see’s our Junior Boy’s take on SWQ Thunder, again these fixtures will be at Kawana Sports Precinct.

Many people would assume, the pressure to be mounting on us as a club in the survival for NPL status, this is actually further from the truth, there is no pressure on our players or staff, as we look to finish the season as strong as possible. The club back each and every one of our players and all of our Senior staff.

In other news around the club, As published and well documented, we have Danny Clarke and his staff arriving from Bolton Wanderers FC, the program commences on Monday 8th July 2019 – Friday 12th July 2019 (inclusive).

Our Juniors Boys and Girls will be back on residential duty as of Monday 1st July, all groups spending 2 nights and 3 days under the guidance of myself and Gareth Thomson, this is part and parcel of our club culture and learning environment.

We are grateful to Gavin Hodgkins Technical Director from Maroochydore FC, who has kindly organised evening fixtures for all of our teams, all spectators are welcome to attend.

Our recruitment process has already commenced for 2020, with a number of new players invited to attend the aforementioned Residential, with a number of other players invited in after the school holidays.

I must also congratulate Connor Evans one of our current U16’s players who has passed the 100 game barrier, well done Connor!

Enjoy the football and get behind the staff and players

Melvyn

From Our Head Coach

Good evening ladies and gentlemen,

I can guarantee you a very entertaining and enjoyable match tonight as this is a game that we at the Fire have been looking forward to.

Coming off a loss to Olympic last week was very disappointing, but still lots of positives for a young team.

We’ve been building for this game now for the last four weeks and is our time to make a difference

Good luck to all and enjoy,

Gerry

Thank you to all our sponsors for your support!
