From the Technical Director.
Welcome to our visitors from Gold Coast Knights.
Firstly I would like to officially welcome Gerry McAvoy to the club, who takes up the position of Head Coach, we wish him and the Senior staff well for the remainder of the season.
As we are now in the second part of the current campaign, the Senior management team have been working hard to try and add a couple of new recruits to bolster our stocks for the run in, with the addition of new players Jacob Seeto and one of our own in Daniel Cuttler, both are excellent additions, and we hope to have a couple more before the transfer window closes.
Our SAP boys and girls continue to provide some outstanding results and performances, a great job being delivered by Gareth and his team of SAP coaches.
Our Junior boys teams continue to flourish, all teams performing extremely well in the current season, with the U14’s & U15’s both sitting 2nd on their respective ladders, our U16’s picked up a good point against Brisbane Roar last week, which hopefully sets them up for the remainder of the season.
Our U15’s, U18’s & Senior ladies 2020 preparation squad teams are taking shape, some excellent turn outs at training from many familiar faces and new recruits.
The club are excited with the arrival of Bolton Wanderers to the club starting second week of July, please head onto our website and or Facebook page for full details. we look forward to having Danny Clarke and his team of official academy coaches on the Coast, please note spaces are filling up rapidly.
Internally, we have commenced our trial process, and as part of our mid-season July Residential program, will see a number of new faces mixed in with existing players, as we look to build on our current successful male and female programs for 2020.

From Our Head Coach
Good evening ladies and gentlemen,
I would like to take this opportunity to thank the Sunshine Coast FC management for making me feel welcome as the new Head Coach. I would also like to extend a warm welcome to the Gold Coast Knights players and supporters.
I have only been in the job a couple weeks and today’s encounter will be challenging but our players have big hearts and we all have a will to win. We’re going to work hard to make this a turning point for the club and I thank you for all your support.
Good luck to all and enjoy,
Gerry
Under 20’s
Strangely it was the away game v GK Knights which prompted the start of a new belief in the 20’s camp. 3-0 down at half time we came back to level only to lose out to a last minute winner from our visitors.
Since then the boys have rallied and had 4 decent wins as well as a very respectable draw with 2nd place Brisbane Roar.
As far as we are concerned we view every game from here on as winnable and one that can take us further up the table. We have our goals and we will work hard this weekend to bring them closer. An exciting game lays ahead.
Gary
