Sunshine Coast FC announced today that Melvyn Wilkes has officially resigned as Technical Director at the Club.
In a statement to Club Staff, Melvyn explained personal family issues as the reason for his departure, and thanked the Club for providing support and the opportunity to work with Sunshine Coast FC.
Melvyn served as the Club’s Technical Director for two and a half years and in that time has overseen the selection of almost 100 players for representative football, and primed the Club for growth and progress.
The Club wishes to recognise the huge effort Melvyn and his wife Emily put into moving the Club forward in their time with the Club. They will always be looked fondly upon at SCFC.
Sunshine Coast FC is currently interviewing prospective candidates and has implemented temporary measures in the interim until a replacement has been found.
Sunshine Coast FC hopes to continue the relationship with Melvyn acting as an ambassador for the Club in the UK and Europe.
