Paid position – Canteen Convenor for Game Day wanted

Canteen Convenor/Cook:

Sunshine Coast FC invites applications for the paid position of Canteen Convenor/Cook for our Sunday home game days at Stockland Stadium Sunshine Coast (approximately 14 games from February to September 2014). Qualifications:

Certificate or “Statement of Attainment” from a Registered Training Organisation (Implement food safety program and procedures)

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervise all manner of food handling in the Canteen and Bar areas;
  • Authority to supervise other food handlers (eg students/volunteers) working in the Canteen and ensure that food handling is done safely and in accordance with the documented procedures;
  • Ensure that all food handlers (eg volunteers) know how to handle food safely;
  • Ensure the Canteen premises are suitably prepared prior to handling food and then cleaned after serving food.

Event Day:

  • Prepare canteen, including pre-cleaning
  • Allocate tasks to designated food handlers (students/volunteers) with due regard to Food Safety Program
  • Supervise all food handlers in the Canteen
  • Monitor stock levels throughout the opening
  • Cook or supervise cooking of all public canteen menu items
  •  Preparation of player after match meals
  • Supervise preparation and service of all corporate box dining requirements
  • Supervise cleaning of equipment and canteen/bar premises
  • Assess requirements for stock replenishment and liaise with Administrator regarding re-ordering
