CLUB STATEMENT – Senior Head Coach Daniel Carew

Sunshine Coast FC today announces that the agreement of our Head Coach, Daniel Carew, will not be renewed for the 2024 season.

This decision was reached after careful consideration and evaluation of the direction of the Senior group, as the club continues to work through the ‘National Second Division’ process.

Daniel has been an integral part of our organisation for 3 years, and we are grateful for his dedication and contributions during his tenure.

We understand and appreciate the passion and commitment of our members and supporters, and we share their desire for a return of success on the field.

As we look forward to the future, with our youth program turning full-time and the anticipated roll-out of the ‘National Second Division’, our focus is to strengthen the Senior squad to ensure we have a competitive and successful team for 2024, whilst also providing a platform for our talented young players to progress.

If the National Second Division proceeds as planned, then we have to ensure that we are equipped for that transition. However, if the club are to start the 2024 campaign in the FQPL, this will also be under a new look set-up.

The club has identified and been in discussions with a new management team, and we hope to unveil the new team shortly.

We would like to place on record our sincere thanks to Daniel for his hard work and wish him all the best in his future endeavours.
