Sunshine Coast FC is proud to announce a partnership with The Knee Joint Sports Physiotherapy for the 2017 PlayStation® 4 NPL Queensland season.
The Knee Joint is a Sports Physiotherapy practice based in Kawana with very experienced and highly qualified staff who endeavour to provide the most accurate diagnosis and management for injuries in order to return people to their chosen sports and activities as quickly as possible with minimal risk, improved performance and strategies to help prevent further injury.
The Knee Joint will be servicing the physiotherapy needs of the Sunshine Coast FC Senior Men with Kurt Lisle and Samuel Muller.
In addition to Sunshine Coast FC, The Knee Joint’s Specialist Sports Physiotherapists also work with the Socceroos, Brisbane Bullets basketball team, National OzTag and Touch Football Titles, and many other individual elite amateur, semi-professional and professional athletes.
“As everyone knows Sunshine Coast FC is the only NPL team in the region. Over the past 8 years I’ve seen the club gradually growing, and progressing in order to build a sustainable club and football legacy on the Sunshine Coast,” Lisle said.
“We see this as an opportunity to work with a large but still growing Football club that has been making an impression State wide, nationally and internationally through its partnerships overseas,” he added.
Lisle credits junior sports in building the foundations of the benefits of exercise, skill and team work.
“We are very interested in helping to decrease the injury levels in junior and adolescent sport whilst encouraging a high participation rate in football right through to adulthood in both men’s and women’s sport,” he said.
Sunshine Coast FC Technical Director Melvyn Wilkes is excited to have the Senior Men under The Knee Joint’s care in 2017.
“We are very fortunate to have Kurt Lisle, who is the physiotherapist for the Socceroos, working with us next year. I’m very happy to have someone with his experience and expertise taking care of the team,” he said.
