Sunshine Coast Football Club are pleased to welcome Christopher Nwokeke to the Fire for 2020.
The 24 year old Nigerian has been a fans favourite on the Coast for the last 4 years originally joining Kawana in 2016 before a 3 year spell at Caloundra playing in 53 senior games and scoring 23 goals.
With pace and strength in abundance, Chris can play on either wing or upfront.
We caught up with ‘The Lion’ to get his thoughts on joining the Fire for this year:
“I’ve been following the club since coming to the Coast and I can see how they are making progress by signing professional coaches and also high quality players.”
“My Targets this year is to work hard, score goals and get the club back to where it belongs” he added.
Senior Coach Gareth Thomson shared his delight in the new signing:
“I’ve spent the last year watching Chris play in the local league and he is someone who has always impressed me. The timing is perfect for him to step up a level now, as he has the experience and drive to really push on this year.”
“He’s a really humble guy who loves the game and always gives so much back to the clubs he is involved in. Like all the players we have signed so far, Chris is going to be a massive role model to our junior players” he added.
