The Fire are delighted to announce the signing of Scottish midfielder, Scott Ferries (Left of photo) for the 2019 NPL season.

Scott (22) started his career at Aberdeen Football Club before joining the youth academy at Ross County to play under 20’s. During this spell he represented Scotland at under 15,17 and 18’s. Scott later joined Peterhead Football Club before moving over to the USA for a spell with SW Florida Adrenaline in the USL PDL.

After returning to Scotland, Scott played in the Highland League before moving to Melbourne and signed with the Casey Comets at the beginning of this year where he continued to play and coach.

Scott has recently relocated to the Sunshine Coast and has impressed coaches early on with his leadership and experience on the field. He predominantly plays as a more defensive midfielder but can also play on the wing.

Speaking on the new signing Head Coach Richard said “Scott looks to be a strong addition to the squad and will be a key player for the Fire this year. We’ve been impressed with his ability on the field and also his leadership off it.

The squad is shaping up well with a good balance of experienced players and some young up and coming Coast talent.”
