Sunshine Coast FC has confirmed talented young striker Jacob Fulluck as the first senior men’s signing for the 2015 PlayStation 4 NPL Queensland season.
Seventeen-year-old Fulluck formerly played for local Sunshine Coast team Buderim Wanderers before Captaining the Fire Under 18s squad last year, under the guidance of 2015 First Team Coach, Paul Arnison.
The prolific striker scored 36 goals during the 2014 season while playing for the Under 18s, Youth Men’s and First Team and Arnison said he looked forward to seeing what Fulluck could create with a strong First Team around him.
“Jacob is a great player and a leader whose attitude is second to none in training and in games. He can score goals but is also a team player and knows how to listen and put in the extra work,” Arnison said.
Arnison said Fulluck’s signing was also in line with the Fire’s philosophy of promoting and developing young, local players.
“It’s great for the Sunshine Coast Fire to be able to give talented local players the chance to move into senior football, and our focus will be on developing Jacob as a player over the coming season.”
Fulluck said he was looking forward to the opportunity to progress to senior football and work with Arnison.
“I worked with Paul last year as Under 18s Captain, and he knows my style of play. I met with Paul and he told me his plans and vision for the squad along with an offer of help and guidance to help me in my ambitions,” Fulluck said.
“I am looking forward to the 2015 season with the Fire.”
