Sunshine Coast FC will be entering teams into the Sunshine Coast Futsal Competition 2017/18 season thanks to a new partnership with Sunshine Coast Futsal Association.
Sunshine Coast FC will have teams across all age groups competing in the 2017/18 Sunshine Coast Futsal Competition.
Sunshine Coast FC Interim Technical Director Dan Carswell sees the new partnership as an opportunity to continue the development of players within the same coaching environment throughout the NPL off-season.
“With many past and present Fire players already playing Futsal, it’s only a natural progression that the two complimentary football codes form a relationship to improve the depth of football talent on the Sunshine Coast,” he said.
Sunshine Coast Futsal Association Director of Coaching Justin Morrison looks forward to having official Fire teams in the upcoming Summer competition.
“We are extremely excited about this new partnership between Sunshine Coast Futsal Association and National Premier Leagues club Sunshine Coast FC,” he said.
“Having Fire teams participate in the weekly 2017/18 Sunshine Coast Futsal Summer competition with the aim to further develop their players’ technical attributes before the next NPL season.”
The Sunshine Coast Futsal 2017/18 Summer Competition commences in October 2017 and concludes March 2018.
Team registration opens 1 August 2017.
