Sunshine Coast FC and Peregian Beach College have joined together to provide a fantastic scholarship opportunity for young, talented footballers on the Sunshine Coast.
Sunshine Coast FC, as a National Premier Leagues (NPL) club, has set itself the task of working to produce the best possible pathway for talented young footballers. Whilst seeking out these footballers to nurture, Sunshine Coast FC management recognises the equal importance of a quality education in the overall development of a young person.
Sunshine Coast FC and Peregian Beach College have partnered to offer their individual expertise to provide players with the best opportunity to achieve both of these goals.
The Scholarship Program covers the cost of the coaching provided by Sunshine Coast FC and tuition provided by Peregian Beach College.
Successful candidates will have been selected as a player (or shadow player) in one of Sunshine Coast FC’s NPL teams or will have commenced the development pathway within the Sunshine Coast FC Academy or SAP program. They will also be enrolled in Peregian Beach College at their appropriate grade level.
Initial scholarships shall normally be for a period of 2 to 3 years depending on school year of entry and candidates compliance with scholarship requirements. There is an opportunity for the extension of the scholarship. Please note there will be an annual review of scholarship holder’s performance as a player and as a student at the College. Scholarship holders are subject to normal discipline requirements of both Sunshine Coast FC and Peregian Beach College.
Eligibility to apply:
– Candidates will have been selected as a player (or shadow player) in one of Sunshine Coast FC’s NPL teams or will have commenced the development pathway within the Sunshine Coast FC Academy or SAP program.
What the scholarship includes:
– Payment of tuition fees at Peregian Beach College commencing 2015 Academic year and continuing for a period of two to three years (with the possibility of extension).
– Payment of registration fees for the NPL, Academy or SAP program with Sunshine Coast FC.
