Match Guide #4 | SCFC v BRFC

From the Technical Director.

Welcome to our visitors from Olympic and Brisbane Roar, for a full day of football for our Juniors and Senior respectively all on home soil.

A full weekend of football on Saturday and Sunday last week, saw our Junior boys teams travelling down to the Gold Coast on Saturday to take on GC Knights, with some outstanding results.

Our girls U12’s SAP team attending their grading carnival at Pen Power under the guidance of Liv Latimer, and taking out all three fixtures with convincing victories, well done Liv and the young ladies.

Our U18 – Senior Men’s all played Brisbane Strikers last Sunday, with our U18’s running out winners, but our U20 and Senior Men’s still searching for their first points of the new campaign.

Again Mitch and Gary have been working extremely hard to put some early runs on the board, keep up the good work gentleman, the hard will pay off for sure.

We have also started to market our April school holiday camp, which is the first port of call of our recruitment for our SAP groups male and female, be sure to register your child.

We are also announcing a couple of exciting programs coming to the Coast, the first being in May 2019, when we welcome Chelsea FC and Frank O’Brien (Chelsea Youth Team). Frank will be working with our NPL squads, as well as passing on some of his vast experience to our coaches.

We also have another couple of exciting announcements in the coming weeks, but as always, keep your eyes peeled on our social media pages.

Enjoy the football,

Melvyn

From Our Head Coach

Today we welcome Brisbane Roar to the Sunshine Coast, and we look forward to what will be another big test for our squad.

Although results haven’t been what we hoped for so far this season, we’ve still taken plenty of positives into this week as we know that getting games into our young squad can only help us in the future.

Training has been great this week and all the boys are focused on trying to get our first win of the season.

Brisbane Roar have had a fantastic start to the season, so we know today will be a challenge, but it is one that we relish, and hopefully all of our squads will put in good performances, and we can get that much needed win.

Enjoy the game,

Mitch

Captain’s Thoughts

Welcome to our visitors from Brisbane Roar this weekend. Both sides are coming into the game with young and hungry squads. Roar have shown from their early results that age is just a number in the NPL and we look forward to trying to prove that point this weekend.

See you there,

Scott Ferries
