Sunshine Coast FC has announced Blake and Damien Kallis as the latest additions to their squad for the PlayStation® 4 NPL Queensland 2017 season.
The duo previously played for Kavala FC in the first tier Superleague Greece during the 2010/11 season before the club was relegated to the fourth tier Delta Ethniki the following year.
Blake, 26, and Damien, 24, are keen to bring some of their personal brand of excitement and flair to the NPL in 2017.
“We are at the peak of our career and we work really well together, with Blake as a strong attacker and me on the back line,” Damien said.
“My biggest strength is being able to take on players and beat them with my speed.”
Blake is equally confident that his name will be at the top of the golden boot rankings at the end of 2017.
“I’m in the best condition of my career right now and there is no doubt in my mind that I will be the top scorer in the league,” he said.
The pair believe that they can contribute to a top four finish for Sunshine Coast FC.
“I believe that Sunshine Coast FC is a powerhouse club and we will be title contenders in 2017 with Roger Hardwicke as Head Coach,” Damien said.
“Our style of play meshes well with Roger’s style of coaching, he’s easy to talk to, he is willing hear you out and work with your ideas,” he said.
