Koshimizu set to put on a show in 2018

Sunshine Coast FC striker Shoichi Koshimizu will continue to entertain PlayStation 4 NPL Queensland crowds with his unique and fast-paced style in 2018.

Koshimizu has been a Fire mainstay in recent years, bringing his J-League experience to the NPL and serving as a mentor to younger teammates with aspirations of playing professionally.

The Japanese import becomes Sunshine Coast FC’s fourth signing after the announcement of Daniel Tesoro, Ferran Bolas and Alex Smith last week.

Known for his speed and frantic energy on-field, the 27-year-old will bring versatility, excitement and pace to a new-look Fire squad.

“Shoichi is one of the more technically proficient players in the NPL and with the quality of signings that we’re bringing to the club we’ll see the best of him next year,” said Sunshine Coast FC Acting Technical Director Dan Carswell.

“In previous years, he has always been the hardest worker at training and on game day he will cause a lot of problems for opposition defenders.”

“Outside of his skills as a player, the enthusiasm he brings to the team is infectious and he definitely makes everyone work harder.”

In addition to First Team responsibilities, Koshimizu delivers many of Fire’s community programs throughout the Sunshine Coast region including Holiday Camps and School Programs.
